I followed your steps and downgraded the fonts. It fixed the
overlapping
issue, temporarily.
Then I did a 'dnf update'. After installing those updates I noticed that the
overlapping issue has returned. I assume that is because the fonts were
replaced again by what is included in Fedora 37?
Yes, "dnf update" brings back the fonts which do not work (They seem to work
fine on Fedora 36, so I am not sure why they don't work on Fedora 37.
