Hey FOSSers,
RIT Libraries is running a Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Saturday, March 24
from 11am - 4pm to represent more influential women on Wikipedia.
https://wallacecenter.rit.edu/events/index.cfm#event8439
As described:
Join RIT Libraries in celebrating Women’s History Month by
participating in a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon! Improve the representation
of women on Wikipedia by editing or writing new Wikipedia entries
about notable women or topics related to women.
If you've never contributed to Wikipedia before or aren't sure where to
start, librarians are on-hand to help teach you the wiki editing magic
and how to make your first steps.
For those in HFOSS, I'm fairly certain this would be considered for a
meet-up credit. Plus, if you've never been to an edit-a-thon before,
they're actually a lot of fun! You get to read _and_ write a little bit
of history too.
You can see what an edit-a-thon is like in an event report I wrote up
earlier this month:

Hope to see some of you there. I'll be there. :-)
