Yet another meet-up opportunity. If you identify as female, you can participate in this – if not, you can still volunteer! As a past volunteer, it's still a lot of fun to be involved with WiCHacks one way or another. I'm hoping to make it out again as a volunteer too, hope some of you will join too!

*WiCHacks is a 24 hour hackathon for women *on the RIT campus, run by the Woman in Computing organization. A hackathon is a collaborative programming event in which participants create an app, website, or other piece of software over the course of 24 hours. Hackathon participants can be female college (including non-RIT) or high school students who are at least 16 years of age. Our goal is to empower these young women to pursue their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields. By hosting this women's hackathon, we aim to provide a safe and encouraging environment in which young women can develop the confidence they will need to thrive in the competitive tech industry. It will be a great day to learn, invent, and create the future!
