I see from
https://www.rit.edu/infocenter/sites/rit.edu.infocenter/files/images/2017...
that the first registrations for next semester, Spring 2018, start rolling tomorrow,
Monday, November 13th.
Our introductory course, Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software Development,
affectionately abbreviated as "HFOSS" is being offered next semester, so I
wanted to put in a short word to remind you to be sure to add it to your shopping cart!
The course is IGME-582 and meets MWF 9:05am-10am. It nominally requires 3rd-year standing,
but we have a good history with taking students earlier than that via permission of the
instructor (ie, yours truly!). So, if you're at all interested, please get in touch!
HFOSS is a pre-requisite for another class that is also running this spring, IGME 585
Project in Free and Open Source Software Development. As with HFOSS, there's a
possibility of enrolling with permission of the instructor if one lacks the pre-reqs. In
this case, please contact Prof. Stephen Jacobs, sj(a)magic.rit.edu.
