Hi,
I am going to switch phones soon so I need to migrate my FreeOTP credentials from one device to another.
A quick google search only revealed
https://fedorahosted.org/freeotp/ticket/20
which is not implemented yet.
Any advice on how to migrate my codes from the old device to the new one?
Thanks,
Robert
Hi,
this worked for me:
get TitaniumBackup, create a backup of FreeOTP with all applicatin data, restore that backup to the new phone.
Phone possibly needs to be rooted though.

That's a good point, as the old phone is rooted. However, but I don't think I want to bother to root my new phone ( and not sure that I can for technical reasons ).
A way of doing this without root would be ideal :-)
Thanks,
Robert

Hi,
I know that TB needs root access to backup and restore system settings, I don't know if it needs root when all you do is backing up one app...
besides, rooted phone = good, for reasons of running adaway.

Could be, I'll check that.

But also rooted phone = void warranty, I just got off the phone with customer support :-(

not here in germany according to recent court rulings, at least not as far as the warranty on the HARDWARE is concerned...

Probably not the same here in Romania, which makes rooting a large risk.
I will ask around some more to see if anyone has actually has had any such experience with LG in Romania.
