FUDCon Welcome Packet Fun for the plane

Hi Jared, Per yesterday's marketing meeting - one thing that could probably be easily done on a plane is writing the "warm welcome letter" for the FUDCon packet. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Tempe_2011_packet is the draft (albeit very sad and empty at the moment) I've put together. Once we have the sections filled out, we can move on to making it a nice printable thing to hand out to folks at registration or I don't know that there is any sort of precedent for this to follow, but I'd imagine it would be something like this: * Welcome to Tempe for FUDCon * In this packet you'll find $thislistofawesomethings * We hope you can make it to FUDPub * Participation is important - please come to things, be ready to contribute, be ready to lead, or pitch in and help out, we encourage you to be on the FUDCon channels on IRC and tweeting and denting, etc. * If you have any questions during your stay, please contact mailinglist or on IRC I'm sure there may be other things - feel free to write as you see fit :) I've copied the mailing list in case anyone else has any good ideas about what might be nice to have in a welcome letter. Helo, I was creating some tickets on fudcon trac and there are not milestones for fudcon Panama 2011, also the milestones the RedHat quarters that the fundcon Panama 2011 will be in. Can some one create those milestones or let me know how to do them. Thanks

Conrgats to Panama, I hope im able to attend. I am concerned it seems that nothing has been done. ive not seen anything at all on the progress of making sure hotel space is available and that fudcon space is confirmed etc. Please can we make sure that meetings are running and announced here and that we communicate what is going on Thanks Dennis

FUDCon: Tempe Additional Hotel Information

As promised, I've got us signed up for an overflow hotel for FUDCon in January. The rate is $99/night, not including taxes. Rooms can be booked between January 28th (Friday) and checkout on February 1 (Tuesday).
