problem for traveling to fudcon blacksburg

Hello, I have a situation that is beyond my control. I work with my sister in a family business, this is convenient as she covers my duties when I travel. She has a surgery scheduled, and her recovery time will match with FUDCon. It is suppose to be urgent, but there is no risk involved. Yet she will need at least one full week for recovery. I have to cover for her. I have been sponsored for FUDCon, and I took one spot that may been use for another person. I feel bad about it. I do not know what are the proper procedures to inform that I will be not going. I not sure what action should I take regarding the money spent. I am ready to reimburse the cost of the air fare. Possible CAcert Assurance Event during FUDCon

I'm a CAcert assurer, and was wanting to check to see if there are any CAcert assurers who will be attending FUDCon and would be interested in offering CAcert assurances at some point during FUDCon. If you are, please email me. I'd like to get a group of assurers together at some point during the event. This will be especially important because CAcert is getting ready to revoke the points that people obtained via the former Thawte Points Transfer system, so some people will be losing their assurer status (or 50 point status that lets you get your name in your certificates). We are also planning a GPG/PGP key signing party, more details of that will come soon. FUDCon:Pune 2011 retrospective

Hi We had a meeting soon after FUDCon Pune 2011 to do a retrospective on what went right and what could be improved. I haven't put that up online yet and intend to but meanwhile, I am leaving it as a blank state for anyone to fill in their thoughts. I would request you to add your name under any points you have for transparency but anonymous feedback is fine too and the page is editable by everyone. The goal is not merely for reminiscence but provide a opportunity for everyone, especially future FUDCon organizers to learn from our experiences.
