The current Fedora Installation Guide is based on the RHEL 5 Guide that I wrote in 2006, and is an early attempt to do modular, reusable authoring (see attached presentation). Since then I've been working on a system that supports division of large documentation tasks into small chunks of modular, reusable text. Now we have it. The aim of the talk would be make the attendees understand the importance of localization and how localization can be done in a cool way just like Fedora does it. Even after explaining the need and benefits of localization, there still remains a big question: "How do I i18n my software?" So, we'd also be conduct a '''hackfest on i18n and l10n'''. We'll show from the basics on how to internationalize a software (using examples from C, python , PHP, Java, etc.) and then how to l10n the software using Transifex, and easily repeat this process for every release cycle.
