Just a note to everyone that I need to withdraw the Vegas bid.
While all the other costs seem reasonable, the costs for actually doing things within the Vegas hotels is just prohibitive. Nearly all hotels there utilize outside vendors for meeting space equipment - including power, projectors and screens, wireless, etc. The costs, as far as I have discovered thus far, are not negotiable. And it means costs for things like projector screen rental are in the 500-600 range, per day, per ROOM, and when you add in wireless, etc. - it just makes for something that is way too hard to swing.
Sorry. Perhaps I'll win the lottery and it can happen next year. :)

I think i might actually go for having it on a cruiseship. Then the shirts could say, "FUDCon: I'm on a boat!"
And we could have Fedora flippie floppies.

Or if it were to take place on a cruise ship, the shirts could say "We're going to need a bigger boat."
