Hi peeps!
My name is Smera, and I’m an Outreachy Intern here at Fedora and a part of the design team!
As a thank you for all the efforts you guys put in coordinating and supporting the community in Internationalization, Localization, Zanata and FLTG area to provide effective workflow on Globalization, we are working on a set of infographics to highlight the accomplishments of all the people who worked and contributed to Fedora in the past year.
For this, we request you to share accomplishments, stories, metrics etc. of individuals and/or teams in your group! It can be anything like number of languages supported, languages newly translated in the past year, number of translation commits.
I have created a pagure ticket for the same here: https://pagure.io/i18n/issue/123. Please give your feedback by the end of next week (June 19th).
Again, thank you for everything you do to make Fedora awesome!
Best wishes,
Smera Goel (smeragoel)
Hi,
One of the pointers could be https://fedoramagazine.org/tracking-translations-with-transtats/ A few fedora services are not available at the moment (some planned outage) - they will be back soon.
thanks, sundeep

interesting, do we have any usage statistics? Such as the number of sync issue we solve?
for localization/l10n statistics, we had quite a lot of stats in the presentation done last year at flock: https://static.sched.com/hosted_files/flock2019/26/2019-08-10%20Flock.pdf
page 8 gives the number of words translated in 2019, I can update it if required. I think it should also be easy to get the number of unique translators.
page 14 tells you the Fedora Workstation LiveCD alone is 1.3 million english words to translate.
page 15 tells you we (the linux community, us included) deliver translations for 108 languages, and have an global translation average of 17,8%.
page 18 is too complex to share without explanation, it contains statistics of the content with see in Gnome Software, and the trend over the last 3 and 5 releases.
we moved to a new translation platform, and while decision was taken in 2019, at December 31th, we only had 5 migrated projects: https://fedoraproject.org/w/index.php?title=L10N_Move_to_Weblate&oldid=5...
I think it would be more appropriate to count it as 2020 statistics.

We have a few features on the development plan this year to engage more with packagers (and hence developers) whereby Transtats may be able to answer some of these. Thanks for the suggestion, kindly track this with https://github.com/transtats/transtats/issues/209
