[Bug 1169593] New: Creates /.docker

On Atomic, docker-io-1.3.2-3.git353ff40 fails to start:
Dec 01 22:12:17 localhost.localdomain docker[816]:
time="2014-12-01T22:12:17-05:00" level="fatal" msg="mkdir .docker: permission
denied"
My magic 8 ball^copy of git grep says:
$ git grep -i dir.*\\.docker
docker/flags.go: dockerCertPath = filepath.Join(getHomeDir(),
".docker")
What's that doing? Well, when docker is started on the system, it doesn't have
a home directory, it's just /.
So on a mainline system, since docker runs with all privileges, it happily does
mkdir("/.docker").
This fails on Atomic due to the protection from:

Hello All!
i believe we should upgrade etcd to the recently released 0.5.0-alpha.5 (or
even 2.0.0-rc.1) versions. Although they are considered experimental which
could harm someone, there are lots of new stuff (etcdctl for example).

[Bug 1118234] New: Docker doesn't update DNS IP when it's changed on system
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1118234
Bug ID: 1118234
Summary: Docker doesn't update DNS IP when it's changed on
system
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel7
Component: docker-io
Severity: medium
Assignee: lsm5(a)switzerlandmail.ch
Reporter: maxime.carron(a)fedoraproject.org
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: admiller(a)redhat.com, golang(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
hushan.jia(a)gmail.com, lsm5(a)switzerlandmail.ch,
mattdm(a)redhat.com, mgoldman(a)redhat.com, s(a)shk.io,
vbatts(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
When the DNS server is changed on the system, docker keep using the one used at
its startup.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
EL 7.0
docker : 1.0.0-1
How reproducible:
Always.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start docker (systemctl start docker)
2. Do any operation which needs DNS resolution (docker pull fedora:latest)
=> System DNS is used
3. Change system DNS to 8.8.8.8 or any different DNS
4. Do some other operation which needs DNS resolution (docker pull
fedora:rawhide)
5. You should see that first is still used
Actual results:
No DNS update
Expected results:
Docker should use the current system DNS
Additional info:
This is especially disturbing on a laptop, because a docker restart is needed
everytime I change network (when first DNS is not reachable anymore, usually
when DNS has a private IP)

[Bug 1175097] New: split out completion/syntax highlight files into subpackages
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1175097
Bug ID: 1175097
Summary: split out completion/syntax highlight files into
subpackages
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: docker-io
Assignee: lsm5(a)redhat.com
Reporter: lsm5(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org

mgoldman(a)redhat.com, miminar(a)redhat.com, s(a)shk.io,
thrcka(a)redhat.com, vbatts(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
The current docker-io package includes shell completion files (bash, zsh and
fish) and syntax highlighting files (vim) in the main package itself.
I plan to split the zsh, fish and vim files in their own subpackages
(docker-zsh, docker-fish and docker-vim). I'm thinking of keeping bash in the
main package itself (I don't think there are (m)any bash-less systems out
there)
I had earlier upstreamed the zsh and vim files, but seems like it would be a
lot of effort to keep those updated. (fish was upstreamed by someone else)
Please let me know if any comments/objections.
