Sure, it was just meant as an example of how similar issues were fixed elsewhere.
ldscript for this seems to me a bit of over-engineering, but I guess
the ship has already sailed.
Well, actually this is quite simple and straightforward in the end, it would have been
over-engineering to design a different solution for every language, package class, build
system, build flavour, compiler, linker, etc :-)
