update for EPEL6 to ghc-7.0.4 in testing

Hi, I am pleased to announce a refresh of the Haskell packages for EPEL-6 is now available in testing. The major changes are: - ghc-6.12.3 -> ghc-7.0.4 - Haskell Platform updated to 2011.4 - xmonad updated to 0.10 - darcs updated to 2.5.2 - gtk2hs packages to 0.12.2 [1] If you use EPEL6 then please test. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2012-5980/ghc-7.0.4-4... package review status

Hi, Mbuf encouraged me to send a mail on current package submissions in the queue, so here it is! Main things I see in progress are work for git-annex (nearly there), snap, yesod, and yi (also hledger and happstack-server are almost ready:). Anyway current "hackages" ready for a reviewer are: - ghc-sendfile (for happstack-server): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812384 - ghc-void (for conduit-0.4): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=810781 - ghc-Diff [stalled] (for yi): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=664151 Other pending packages are ghc-Agda, others under review, or maybe needing some minor changes: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_status=__open__&component=Pac... Then there are large bunch of packages that are notready for review, mostly needing a version refresh and/or updating to current cabal2spec, and a few blocked by the current Ready review list. As usual you can find links to the various package review buglists at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Haskell_SIG#Package_reviews I hope this is helpful, do follow up with comments and any other submissions I might have missed or not highlighted here. xmonad update in testing

If you use Fedora's xmonad package then please help to test the latest update for F16 and F17 which is now in testing. It should fix issues with broken shared libs when upgrading, e.g.: - xmonad 0.9.2 -> 0.10 dyn shared lib bump (F16) - F16 -> F17 libgmp soname bump https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-8438/xmonad-0.10-9.fc17 https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-8484/xmonad-0.10-3.5.... Basically I just added a check to xmonad-start and if there are shared libs "not found" and then it forces a recompile of one's xmonad user binary. It seems to work for me anyway but more testing would be appreciated. It would be nice if the xmonad update for F17 would be available when F17 is released tomorrow, since the gmp bump means all F16 binaries will break on upgrade. Thanks, Jens

haskell-sig a/c updated to haskell-devel

Hi, I want to announce that the haskell-sig FAS account email address was finally been updated recently from the old fedora-haskell-list address (which is now read-only) to the fedora haskell-devel list. Note the SIG account in Bugzilla has also been updated: we now have to use haskell-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org when CC'ing Haskell Package Reviews, etc: the old address is no longer valid.
