Fwd: Mass rebuild for Fedora 18

Just a heads-up that the Fedora 18 Mass Rebuild is now underway. So you will probably want to "git pull" in ghc-*/master etc to update your local git repos once it is done to avoid any git conflicts. Cheers, Jens

-prof is dead long live profiling!

Hi Haskell SIG, Now that F15 is EOL (since last month) we can finally deprecate all prof BuildRequires... So I just did a "mass commit" to all packages replacing "BuildRequires: ghc-*-prof" with "BR: ghc-*-devel". There is no need to rebuild any of the packages right now since the change is just cosmetic and also there will be a Mass Rebuild of F18 by Fedora Releng this week anyway. But if you notice any problems let me know. It is also a good time now to finish F18 version bumps before F18 branches and the F18 Alpha release. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/18/Schedule Thanks, Jens

revision of Haskell Packaging Guidelines

Hi, I just opened a ticket for review of the draft revised Haskell Packaging Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/Haskell The templates and macros have gradually changed over time quite a bit since the original Haskell Packaging Guidelines https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Haskell (2009) so I am glad finally to submit the draft for revision now.
