Hi folks!
We just had another meeting on hubs development. Here are the meetbot logs: https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-hubs/2016-08-23/fedora_hubs.2016-08...
Quick summary:
- Our roadmap document (https://etherpad.gnome.org/p/fedora-hubs-roadmap) is way out of date. A more accurate one is here on list (https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/hubs-devel@lists.fedoraproject...) We agreed that the README in pagure would be the best place to keep the roadmap; mizmo agreed to update the README in pagure with the latest roadmap info and archive the old roadmap (as it still has useful info) in pagure as well so our docs aren't scattered everywhere.
- We triaged from where we left off (#32) up through issue #57 on our issues list. We triaged for priority (high if one of our 5 oct milestone roadmap features, normal/low otherwise) as well as assignee / tags. Some tags we added were "easy" for tickets that would be good for new contributors to take on and "needsdiscussion" for tickets that need more discussion / planning / design / etc.
- mizmo mentioned she has an outreachy candidate she has been working with who is interested in doing a hubs UX internship. We talked about getting a devel outreachy intern too. mizmo will investigate getting us signed up as an org for that. Applicatoins open on Sept. 5.
- mizmo is going to start on waartaa mockup work this week. Tickets in github are here: https://github.com/waartaa/waartaa/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Amoc...
- We talked through 2 of the 5 roadmap features we're working towards:
- Zanata - Sayan will contact Alex for an update; we are waiting on sample output from their new webhooks to develop around
- Plusplus widget - szkrepto finished off the backend work; it was waiting on the user metadata widget which was waiting on fas3 integration. In the interest of getting a finished feature released, we decided to stop blocking on FAS3 integratoin and just implement the user metadata widget wo the FAS data so there's a place for the plusplus data. (see tickets https://pagure.io/fedora-hubs/issues/57 + https://pagure.io/fedora-hubs/issue/162)
- Other tickets of interest that came up:
- Wikitree widget (https://pagure.io/fedora-hubs/issue/40 ) - lmacken had a prototype for this but had to recover the code, sayan will reach out to him for more info on it. We agreed it'd be a super useful widget ot have.
Cheers, ~m
