#52: django.core.management change with django-1.6 ------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: ralph | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Beta version Version: | Keywords: ------------------------+-------------------------- In hyperkitty_standalone, manage.py has this line:
from django.core.management import execute_manager
execute_manager was deprecated somewhere along the line and has been removed in the newly released django-1.6. This causes new people who follow the docs at http://hyperkitty.readthedocs.org/en/latest/development.html to get an ImportError when trying to run "python manage.py ..."
Suggestions for resolution: Change the dep for hyperkitty from "Django>=1.4" to "Django<1.6" or Update manage.py to use whatever new interface django.core.management is providing.
