--- Comment #1 from Parag AN(पराग) <panemade(a)gmail.com> ---
First as you said on IRC this change needs many places in Fedora to change to
this new package name. I will suggest to send email on fonts list and see if
any response we get. If people think we should skip the renaming then we can
skip it :)
Other thing the upstream archive is not released under any version number and
inside there are various font files with its own release versions. Looks like
new upstream is in continuation of development from its previous upstream. We
can pick snapshot based package naming.
Name: %{fontname}-fonts
Version: 3.020
Release: 0.1.20131007%{?dist}

+1 to subpackaging the locales so that users can install only (or remove)
the locales they (don't) need. With the increasing focus on Virt
and Cloud I think this is now a priority and also one of the advantages
that Ubuntu still has over Fedora currently.

Support for the ARM 64 bit CPU architecture (aarch64) was introduced in
autoconf 2.69. libunistring appears to use an earlier version of
autoconf, preventing its being built. This can be fixed in of three ways (In
order of preference):
1. Work with upstream to migrate the package to autoconf 2.69.
2. Rerun autoconf or autoreconf in %prep or %build prior to running
configure.
3. Apply the patch at
http://ausil.fedorapeople.org/aarch64/libunistring/libunistring-aarch64.p...
which updates config.guess and config.sub to recognize aarch64.

Nor langtable.
The first part of the layout description is a language name, the second part is
the territory name. That's why 'fr (ch)' and 'ch' layouts get such different
descriptions. These strings come from some X server package, but this is not a
bug so I don't want to spend time identifying which one.

--- Comment #40 from Jerry James <loganjerry(a)gmail.com> ---
I thought it odd that "fc-cache /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1" didn't fix the
problem, so I did some experimenting. It turns out that running "fc-cache
/usr/share/fonts/default" (without the "/Type1") DOES fix the cache. So I
built my own local urw-fonts package to use in mock building, and changed the
scripts to read:
%post
{
umask 133
mkfontscale %{fontdir} || :
mkfontdir %{fontdir} || :
fc-cache %{_datadir}/fonts/default
} &> /dev/null || :
%postun
{
if [ "$1" = "0" ]; then
fc-cache %{_datadir}/fonts/default
fi
} &> /dev/null || :
And now zenon builds successfully. Is this a bug in the urw-fonts scripts, or
a bug in fc-cache?
