I've already filed a bug upstream [2] because it should be ideally included there since it's used across Linux distributions, but unless/until upstream ships it it should be included downstream as the packaging guidelines say [3]. However, fontconfig is not configured to search the install location by default. Thus, the user is required to perform additional steps to use that font in TeX or other applications. See setup optins, one need to open gnome-control-center- Regional Language -> Input souce. 3. Actual results: Setup option is not that easily available. Expected results: It should be handy. i.e. user should able to get it just by clicking on IME indicator on gnome-panel. Additional info: m17n-lib provide it.
