Nope! Is that /etc/vconsole.conf ? That's the config for systemd-localed, and
yeah, it might be that desktops are picking that up. I have not actually tested
it. But what I mean is, when you select a keyboard layout or input method *in
GNOME* or *in KDE*, I'm not sure whether they write it back to that, or
configure it in their own config systems.

Although reading your post again I wonder. Is it really that there is not a
consistent configuration file for the Wayland systems? I wonder because from
the code, and I have to verify that, we are basically copy configuration files
from a specific place in the installation environment to the installed system
and I never heard that this logic is not working.
Are you sure about the configuration Adam?
