mozc is an input method for Japanese text. Setting direct input mode as
its default does not make much sense imo.

And I do not quite get the point of the issue 201 (enhancement request).

ibus remembers the input source I used in a previous session. For
instance, if I end my gnome session in 'en', ibus will start with 'en'
next time.
