Some vowel strokes (diacritics/glyphs) are displayed incorrectly

Even with ibus-typing-booster, some of the vowel strokes (diacritics/glyphs)
are displayed incorrectly. I am now testing this on Gnome Xorg. Attached image
shows the difference between gedit and emacs. Gedit shows it correctly.
