If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, baekmuk-bdf-fonts will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 43, baekmuk-bdf-fonts will be retired, if it still fails to build.

--- Comment #5 from Akira TAGOH tagoh@redhat.com --- Well, fonts-rpm-macros relies on fontconfig to generate appstream xml file etc though, BDF fonts isn't supported by fontconfig and is useless on the modern applications. That said this sort of error should be avoided by setting fontappstreams macro to the own xml file. This has been fixed in fonts-rpm-macros 2.0.5-21 in rawhide.
So to fix this, if you think this is still useful, you can write your own appstream xml file and set it as fontappstreams macro in the spec file.
