Dear listmates,
I am Debayan Banerjee, a final year student from NIT Durgapur, West Bengal.
I am a member of the LUG here. We are going to organise an install fest on
the 25th, 26th and 27th September in the Students' Activity Center on
campus. For the event to be a grand success and attract as many people from
within and outside the college, we require some Fedora/Redhat goodies/DVDs
to distribute. A separate corner in the SAC shall be dedicated to
fedora/redhat and we are expecting maximum number of people to throng this
corner.
It is my humble and sincere request that you kindly consider our case and
provide us with as many goodies as possible.
Yours Sincerely,
Debayan

Hi everyone
/**
* Welcome to OSScamp Delhi September 2008!
*/
OSScamp is India's biggest 'unconference' on open source. Every few
months geeks and geeks-to-be come together in this celebration of open
technology. The latest edition of OSScamp Delhi has been fixed for
September 27th and 28th, 2008.
OSScamp Delhi is a community of 200+ geeks coming from a variety of
domains, not limited to technology or open source alone. We are a
community of young and vibrant enthusiasts that sets us apart from
every other conference in the country. At OSScamp Delhi, you'll find
what we call "planned chaos" (It's an unconference after all!). Even
though there are no structures, no rules, yet we share a common
philosophy

Yesterday NIT Hamirpur increased the bandwidth allocation for the
Fedora mirror [1]. We have allocated a total of 13.125Mbps (35 clients
at 384Kbps each) now, and would like to know whether there has been
any reduction in the frequency of "connection refused, too many
connected users" errors one used to receive earlier? Since we are
listed on top for the Rawhide content [2] [3], I am guessing this will
affect Rawhide users more than their Fedora 9 counterparts. We are
going to fine tune our allocation depending on how the load affects
the rest of the university network and user feedback.
You can reply on this thread or use the glug-nith-discuss(a)nongnu.org list [4].
Cheers,
Debarshi

An interview with a New Jersey teacher who went to Google for a day to
learn about bringing various modern social web tools in to the
classroom. I can imagine how cool it was.
Not being there, I have to presume the focus was on the well-integrated
tools that Google offers and not, for example, on the open source
software underneath them.
>From a perspective of bringing more open source to educators, what are
equivalents that Fedora could be doing here?
Oh, and, uh, for less cash outlay. :)

May you add contact info at above page?
In case there are other folks around Delhi region with Fedora Media
and you know them,
it would be best if you can convey them to add there contacts also.
