Software Freedom Day at BITS Goa
by sankarshan
The BITS Open Source University Meeting is celebrating SFD at the Goa
Campus of BITS Pilani on 26th and 27th Sept 2008
http://softwarefreedomday.org/teams/BITSOSUM
They are looking to conduct an Install Fest and are looking for F9
media. They are looking for around 100 numbers of the media, but I guess
that's a tall order right now.
Do we have anyone nearby who can get in touch and see what can be done ?

by shantanu choudhary
This problem does not make sense and yet i am facing it :(
i am using kickstart files to automate fedora installation, and the same
kickstart file is working in fedora8 properly, but with fedora9 it does not
even install scim.
Is there any change done on how we have to list the packages we want to
install in fedora9, but in that case even other packages should not have
been installed, but they are working fine. I dont know where is problem, if
possible can you help me to figure that out.
here is kickstart file for fedora9:
#platform=x86, AMD64, or Intel EM64T
# System authorization information
auth --useshadow --passalgo=md5
# Use graphical install

# Firewall configuration

# Use interactive kickstart installation method

# System keyboard

# System language

# SELinux configuration

# Install OS instead of upgrade

# Use CDROM installation media

# System timezone

# X Window System configuration information
xconfig --startxonboot
# System bootloader configuration
