Fedora 30 Release Party BLR call for participation
by Vipul Siddharth
Hello Everyone,
First of all, sorry for such late notice.
We are celebrating Fedora 30 release at Red Hat Bangalore Engineering
office on this Friday (June 21, 2019) from 1400 to 1700 IST.
I would like to extend an invitation to all of you. It would be great
if you can drop by for a couple of hours. If you want to present
something in the release party, please let me know in this thread or
in a personal email.
If you plan to come or want to present a topic, please put your name
in the wiki[0] so that I can get clearance from security and make the
event smooth.
Thank you, looking forward to seeing contributors from Bangalore and around.

Announcing the bridging of #fedora-india IRC with matrix
by Dhanesh B. Sabane
Hello everyone,
We have successfully set up a bridge between Matrix and #fedora-india
IRC channel so that users from both sides can interact with each other.
The bridge between IRC and our Telegram channel was already been setup
by Justin Flory. Huge thanks to him for bringing our communities
together. Also huge thanks to Tom Callaway for helping us in his busy
schedule.
And finally, huge thanks to Akarshan Biswas for initialising the bridge.
## What is Matrix?
Matrix is a new open network for secure, decentralized communication. It
has it's own protocol which is completely open source. It supports
bridging with multiple networks such as IRC, discord or Telegram. It
behaves just like IRC and supports bots too.
Common clients are Fractal(Gnome app), nheko(Qt,KDE), Riot (desktop and
phones), etc..
## How do you join?
From your client of choice, just join #fedora-india:matrix.org room.
We hope to see all of your participation there.
(**Note**: This email is a copy of the previous email, with minor
modifications, sent by Akarshan which probably got stuck in the
moderation list.)
Cheers!
