Mailing list glitches
by Ankur Sinha
Hi folks,
Happy new year! I hope you had a good break.
Apparently we're seeing some issues with the mailing list. It is
currently marked as inactive in Hyperkitty, and we recently realised
that the subscription list is empty. Not even us owners/moderators were
in it.
So, while my initial e-mails about the new meetings did come through, my
later ones about the time and logs didn't seem to come through---I was
wondering why they hadn't shown up on Hyperkitty. Unfortunately, the
list was also set up to silently discard any e-mails from
non-subscribers so none of us got any notifications, and didn't realise
it back then.
I've now resubscribed the owners/moderators for a start. I've also filed
a ticket with infra about this. Hopefully it's a glitch and can be
undone.
The infra ticket is here:
https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/9559
Best case scenario: everything can be undone and we'll continue as
things were.
Worst case scenario: the subscription list cannot be restored and we'll
have to market the list again and ask people to subscribe again.
Let's see.
