Solution - Create some free space on the Hard Disk and install Ubuntu and softlink the home directory under fedora to home directory under Ubuntu.

Agree, but that would be my final solution.

I still have the Fedora in the same state, if anyone still wants to help, I am still game, but this email I am writing on Ubuntu.

Okay,Let me give try :D

Just for info, I use LXDE on Fedora and also on Ubuntu. So in case some one wants to help be sure that you have a upgraded (from 14 to 15) working copy of LXDE on your machine.

From Ubuntu  - mount fedora partition & edit inittab to text mode &umount and reboot again into Fedora. Where it fails ? Whats the error message?
