Is there any plan around this ? And, has anyone expressed an interest to lead the effort for a presence ?

That page isn't looking promising as of today. Aren't there packagers who can hand-hold and guide new packagers or, stuff similar to that ?
Hi,
I have added myself to the booth duty as well as to the sessions list.

I can also help out with packaging though I not very much experienced myself. Also I can help out in managing stuff, if required.

Hi,
Siddhesh Poyarekar has already planned a workout regarding Bug Zapping. Would be possible for some Proven Testers or contributors familiar with the procedure to team up and conduct a similar activity? We can either club the two workouts together or have them separately or organize a workshop to help out interested contributors.

This list isn't really the appropriate place for further inquiries. Anyway, a couple of final hints

Fedora Day and stall allotment can only be done once we are over with the CfP process. In the meantime, I'd suggest more submissions against the CfP!
See you all at FOSS.IN/2010.
Cheers...Kishore -- PS: we are not an exclusive event, we are an INCLUSIVE event!

[0] Please file the talks against the CfP irrespective of whether there is or isn't a Fedora Day and, do ensure that a specific event wiki page has the details. If the submissions are intended to be part of the proposed Fedora Day, please do talk with the team organizing the event as to how that can be adequately marked out during submission phase. [1] If you are intending to request for travel sponsorship, please use the fedora-india ticket queue to raise requests. Do provide the necessary details. [2] Please ensure that there is a conversation maintained with the event organizers around the talk submission (and, Fedora Day related bits). This is specifically the responsibility of the event owner. [3] Please do take time to write out as much as you think would help attract audience to your specific talk. Both on the wiki and, in your submission.
"Owning an event" means that it needs to be shepherded from the inception to the execution. And, that requires a reasonably flexible plan to accommodate adjustments and changes as requested by the event organizers. Please spend time doing up a plan before starting to rustle and hustle talks/submissions.
[3] Please do take time to write out as much as you think would help attract audience to your specific talk. Both on the wiki and, in your submission.
Does this mean we can/have to populate our talk submission idea on the wiki [1] even before its accepted?

Ideally the wiki should be able to provide at a glance, the talks which have been submitted. Post acceptance, the event owner can specify which ones were accepted by the team organizing the event. And, whether the accepted talks form part of a Fedora Day.
To achieve that, whether one needs to write on the wiki first and copies it over to the talk submission software or, does the opposite, I'd leave it to the event owner to provide guidance.

For now just put up the talks in the wiki that have been submitted. Once the schedule is out I'll do the segregation needed.
