Hi All,
CentOS Dojos i.e. user meet-ups are happening first time in India i.e. in Pune and Bangaluru [1] [2]. Thought of sending it to Fedora India list as there are some community members overlaps between Fedora and CentOS.
The registration link for these events are present in the respective wiki page mentioned below.
About Dojo: / /The CentOS Dojo's are an one day event, organised around the world, that bring together people from the CentOS Communities to talk about systems administration, best practises in linux centric activities and emerging technologies of note. The emphasis is to find local speakers and tutors to come together and talk about things that they care about most, and to share stories from their experiences working with CentOS in various scenarios.

P:S: If you think I did a mistake , by sending this mail to Fedora India ML, feel free to let me know. I wont do it again.

Fedora is upstream for CentOS and some of the sub projects in Fedora including EPEL serve the CentOS community already. Now that Fedora has server, cloud variants etc, there is even more opportunities for the projects to work together. There is nothing wrong with sending such announcements to this list. In fact, I would like to see more specific agendas for contributors to collaborate.

People who want to register now will have to pay a donation of a denomination of their choice. So in that context, I'd say that the announcement was late, due to which one now won't get a chance to race for the free registrations. If you're looking to publicize an event to invite attendees and have such a limited offer in place, it is best to announce in all places at the same time since it otherwise does not give everyone a fair and equal chance to compete for free seats.

Yes, I agree, this could have been done better . This is something we need to improve from Dojo side. However we have not advertised Dojo anywhere as there were some issue finding out speakers for the event. But the registration link was available in public through CentOS wiki page and people registered spontaneously.
Thanks, Lala

Sharing event details early (and making a call for speakers in it) is usually a good way to find speakers too.

FYI,
60 seats have been added to Pune Dojo some time back as the venue can handle more people.
