You have to contact the web master of that domain. It is a volunteer
mirror and we do not control it.

It is pretty easy to do a dnslookup and if not, webmaster@domain-name is a standard address for contacts.

It is not working because you included the sub domain. webmaster@foo.com instead of webmaster@bar.foo.com is likely to work better. At any rate, if the issue is resolved, we can move on.

Same here , Is there no quality control which avoids such a mirror ? Can't it be removed from the list ? I recently found out that its not specific to my area ( andhra pradesh) but even COEP , pune students faced the same errors with mirror.
I don't think everyone in India need to ping that mirror get an error and then proceed to another mirror :(
PS: My knowledge of yum inner workings is poor .
Regards, Pavithran
We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience. There was some technical error with the mirror which has been successfully resolved. The mirror will be working fine within hours. Please report if somebody stiff faces any error.

Hey Thanks for looking into it . :)
The mirror will be working fine within hours. Please report if somebody stiff faces any error.
Unfortunately there is still an issue . It might be because of rawhide
ftp://fedora.glug-nith.org/linux/development/rawhide/i386/os/Packages/NetworkManager-glib-0.8.1-4.git20100817.fc15.i686.rpm: [Errno 12] Timeout on ftp://fedora.glug-nith.org/linux/development/rawhide/i386/os/Packages/NetworkManager-glib-0.8.1-4.git20100817.fc15.i686.rpm: (28, '') Trying other mirror.
The request went from India to japan and it started downloading from ftp.jaist.ac.jp
Which is the fastest and reliable mirror for India ?

Hi,
We have started to mirror the development branch for our mirror @ http://fedoramirror.hnsdc.com You should see it online in a day or so.
regards Ripunjay Bararia Honesty Net Solutions (I) Pvt Ltd Mumbai, INDIA www.hns.net.in
Thank you for reporting. But timeout errors can occur with any mirror. Its because the mirror is throttled to support a maximum no of concurrent users at a time. If it reaches the limit it shows such error.
It may be at one point of time that you faced such an error because of the limit, It must work fine some other time. Anyway we will monitor the mirror regularly and throttle it for best combination of transfer speed and no of concurrent users.
Which is the fastest and reliable mirror for India ?
Currently only Glug-nith mirrors rawhide repository in India, so your request went to Japan.

My question was regarding users experience with other mirrors . Japan might be near according to yum but our networks ( mines BSNL) don't tend to look at Japan as the nearest . I sit some european mirror which is the nearest ?
