Kinokoio: AFK for a few days
by Ivan Pacheco
I'll be AFK for a few days until Wednesday, so I won't be able to help for that time. I know I'm just a begginer, but just to have it in mind so it won't make any conflicts with some pending problems.
Yes, I know sometimes I'm annoying.:)

Plan for tomorrow's Fedora Infrastructure meeting - 2015-07-09
by Kevin Fenzi
The infrastructure team will be having it's weekly meeting tomorrow,
2015-07-09 at 18:00 UTC in #fedora-meeting on the freenode network.
We have a gobby document
(see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Gobby )
fedora-infrastructure-meeting-next is the document.
Please try and review and edit that document before the meeting and we
will use it to have our agenda of things to discuss. A copy as of today
is included in this email.
If you have something to discuss, add the topic to the discussion area
with your name. If you would like to teach other folks about some
application or setup in our infrastructure, please add that topic and
your name to the learn about section.

[waartaa] Started working on ircb
by Ratnadeep Debnath
Hi all,
I have started to work on refactoring/rewriting waartaa using Python
to make it ready to power the IRC communication framework needed by
Fedora hubs. I am working on a microservices based architecture rather
than a monolithic one. I started working on a versatile irc bouncer
cluster service, named, ircb[1].
A very crude implementation of a irc bouncer has already been
implemented by me using Python 3 asyncio. However, this bouncer is a
bit different than traditional IRC bouncers from the outset. ircb can
handle multiple client connections for the same connection to the IRC
network.
Currently, I am brainstorming on a ircb cluster (cluster of IRC
bouncers), and have written some design docs at [2]. Please share your
views and feedback on it.

new fedorapeople.org testing
by Kevin Fenzi
Greetings.
I've been working on a new rhel7/ansible version of our current
fedorapeople.org. This is complicated somewhat by this being one of our
oldest services and one of the first ones added to puppet so many long
years ago.
I'm heading out for vacation saturday and will be gone until the
following saturday, so I don't want to do any migration right now in a
hurry, but it's going to be on my radar right when I get back.
Toward that end, I have the new instance up and available:
people01.fedoraproject.org - 152.19.134.196 -
2610:28:3090:3001:5054:ff:feff:683f
If you all get a chance, please do try and login and then reply to this
thread with any issues you run into. Things you cannot do that you
expect to or cannot do but can on the 'production' version. I'll take a
look at these items after I get back and fix them up before we migrate
things.
Note that very likely I will re-install and re-sync content before we
move this live.

Meeting Agenda Item: Introduction Patrick Creech
by Patrick Creech
IRC: pcreech, pcreech|work
For the past five years I've worked primarily as a C#/.NET developer.
In those roles, I've had the pleasure of also having systems
administration roles. From managing single server linux setups, to
creating a highly available IIS web application infrastructure. Most
recently I also built a raid 10 iSCSI server with CentOS 7.
I have a BS in Computer Science, and am interested in server
Orchestration, automation, and High Availability.
I have code contributions to the Pulp project, and after a recent
break am working on items for them again as well. I've also been a
team member of Funtoo Linux for the past few years as well.
I'm currently trying to absorb the information you guys have out there
on the infrastructure, so I don't necessarily have a specific issue to
help out on yet. But anything in the previously mentioned arenas, as
far as code or sys-administration I'd enjoy helping out with.
Looking forward to working with you guys!

[release] anitya: 0.6.1
by Pierre-Yves Chibon
Good Morning everyone,
Last week, we made a couple of interesting fixes to anitya which I thought would
be nice in a new release, so I just cut: 0.6.1
Here is the changelog:
* Mon Jul 06 2015 Pierre-Yves Chibon <pingou(a)pingoured.fr> - 0.6.1-1
- Update to 0.6.1
- Adjust the GitHub backend to work when the user only provided a homepage
(pointing to github.com)
- Make the cron script multi-threaded (makes it go from ~100 minutes to ~15)
- Fix the flags page to work when the flag does not link to a project (for
example when you deleted the project flagged when processing the flag)
Enjoy!

18:19:03 <smooge> Any other announcements or calls for testing?
18:20:36 <smooge> #topic General Discussions and Open Floor
18:21:01 <smooge> ok I am skipping and conflating some items this week
because there wasn't a lot in the gobby. [my fault.]
18:21:43 <smooge> We had a couple of outages this week due to bad
hardware. Patrick dealt with all of those and got replacements in.
18:21:46 <smooge> Thank you puiterwijk
18:22:50 <smooge> We are having some weird mirrormanager problems
every now and then. Most of the reports are with EPEL users which
makes sense because they are a majority of checks
18:23:33 <smooge> Patrick wrote a script which we sent out for people
running into the issue to test. It will hopefully give us an idea of
when this is happening and why our own tests aren't working
18:23:41 <puiterwijk> Though we now have a script that should get info
for them to help us debug the issue. Please refer to smooge's email
for that
18:23:49 <smooge> heh
18:24:07 <puiterwijk> smooge: sorry, I won't take over your
conversations anymore ^^
18:24:27 <smooge> no it is ok. i knew you wouldn't take credit for
writing the script :)
18:25:18 <smooge> we have a bunch of updates we are going to apply to
staging today/tomorrow with the idea that we will do a mass reboot
next week.
18:25:42 <smooge> that I think is it...
18:25:49 <smooge> anyone else for open floor?
18:26:37 <relrod> I'm still slowly working on testing graphite/grafana
stuff. If anyone wants to play around with it too, let me know and I
can get you an account on the dashboard and perhaps the cloud server
that it is running on
18:26:52 <smooge> please do so
18:26:59 <puiterwijk> relrod: sounds interesting
18:27:10 * puiterwijk would like an account :)
18:27:13 <smooge> please to be adding me.
18:27:57 <relrod> ok, will add you both. I have to run in a minute,
but will try to do so tonight or early tomorrow.
18:27:57 <nyazdani> just fyi, tomorrow is an observed holiday for
those in the US, so quite a few of us may not be around
18:28:19 <smooge> it is? oh crap
18:29:04 <nyazdani> yup, independence day fell on the weekend this year
18:29:29 <puiterwijk> oh, so then you guys make it up and plan the day
off just another day? That's sneaky :)
18:29:46 * smooge goes to see if he gets a day off from work tomorrow.
can never remember until after the holiday
18:30:12 <smooge> thank you for the reminder nyazdani
18:30:21 <puiterwijk> smooge: probably. I'll man the stations, don't worry
18:30:21 <smooge> I won't be doing updates/reboots tomorrow then
18:30:24 <nyazdani> sure thing
18:30:48 <smooge> I will be on firewatch from fireworks
18:30:49 <puiterwijk> I can do them, and production at the same time
if we want? :P
18:31:01 * puiterwijk hides
18:31:05 <smooge> puiterwijk, with our current PDU's in the racks.. it might be
18:31:30 <puiterwijk> smooge: well, not much we can do about the PDUs I think
18:31:37 <smooge> ok I think that is it for the Stephen and Patrick
meeting hour. I hope you enjoyed the time and please remember to tip
your waitress. She has to listen to us all week long
