I'm happy to announce that We have approved some new members in our sysadmin-main group:
Akashdeep Dhar akdhar@redhat.com Lenka Segura lsegura@redhat.com
The sysadmin-main group is the group which has 'root' access to the infrastructure. With only a few exceptions, they have access to everything.
People are added to this group after being nominated by an existing member and approved by consensus. This nomination usually takes place after the person has been around in the community for quite some time doing good work in general and also have completed some larger 'project' in fedora infrastructure showing that they can manage a complex deployment.
Akash has been working on Fedora for many years in many places. He took over maintaining mdapi and did a complete re-write to modernize it. He wrote the firmitas cert notification system we use to notify/track 3rd parties that need to update certificates. He has done a ton of work all over our application stack.
Lenka has done a ton of development over the years accross our applications. She's fixed/written a lot of toddler changes to process things. Most recently she has been working on the forge rollout, getting things building in konflux and deployed as well as setting up CI for projects there.
I'd like to also list the other sysadmin-main members in case they can assist with anything in Fedora infrastructure: abompard adamwill carlwgeorge darknao dkirwan gwmngilfen humaton james jnsamyak kevin mizdebsk nb nphilipp praiskup ryanlerch zlopez
They have proved their dedication, trustworthiness, and ability.
Congrats!

Congratulations to both of you, this is a great recognition of your work and the trust you've earned!
Don't break everything at once, and don't forget to do DB dumps before running SQL queries on the production DB... ;-)
Pierre
Congratulations to you both. Well deserved!
