IoT PRD - feedback and questions
by Douglas E. Hopley Jr.
Good Day,
a few thoughts on the PRD.
With this in mind I send you few starter pieces of input/feedback here.
4.1 Personas
+ IoT Security
- Systems enforcing secure use of Iot. Includes improvements and
direction for handling communications and protocols
In 'Use Case' I would include "Fedora IoT can act as a hub or gateway.
Enabling localized, CPS (?), groups of end points to communicate
into/with the Internet.
I also had a question. On the text in the 'Primary Objective' 'Running on
IoT devices'. Is the though that the devices are a range
of power/scale? To this point, I thought devices as the
endpoints/devices/collectors etc. where low power, low CPU ... and likely
too little
of for Fedora. Am I missing a range/family of things? Or is the thought
that Fedora IoT goals include a configuration to run on all devices?

Draft of IoT PRD
by Ben Cotton
Hi all,
As I mentioned in today's meeting, I have a draft of the Product
Requirements Document:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/IoT/PRD
It needs a lot of help, particularly around personas and use cases.
Please feel free to edit at will. We can discuss it more at next
week's meeting.
Thanks,
BC
