Well, about:plugins lists them both, with the Sun plugin listed first, 
and it does appear to take precedence.  This is with the JPackage 
java-1.5.0-sun-plugin rpm.  Setting the java alternative to the 
gcjwebplugin-test package breaks the link in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins 
and allows the gcjwebplugin to take precedence.
