Does that mean the mx4j package should be retired, since we don't ship
a JDK < 5?
Yes and now. Packages should stop depend on mx4j for JMX. But mx4j is more
than just JMX it contains some useful utilities and etc. and there are certain
packages that depend on the jmx extensions shipped with mx4j, one such package
