Summary: Add javax.servlet.descriptor to export-package of servlet-api Product: Fedora Version: 7 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: high Priority: high Component: tomcat AssignedTo: ivan.afonichev@gmail.com ReportedBy: rgrunber@redhat.com QAContact: extras-qa@fedoraproject.org CC: akurtako@redhat.com, java-sig-commits@lists.fedoraproject.org, ivan.afonichev@gmail.com Classification: Fedora Story Points: --- Type: --- Regression: --- Mount Type: --- Documentation: ---
Jetty is getting closer to being updated (to version 8) for Fedora. The Eclipse package intends on using this newer version so as to not have to bring in tomcat6 as a dependency. To successfully build Eclipse with these components, tomcat-servlet-3.0-api.jar (javax.servlet) needs to export the javax.servlet.descriptor subpackage. A proposed patch is attached.
