Reporter: kdaniel(a)redhat.com
Type: Bug

Status: NEW
Component: tycho
Product: Fedora
I'm not sure if this is tycho or maven, but
(1) install eclipse and mylyn
(2) import eclipse-mylyn from fedora git
(3) fedpkg local
The build will be scanning projects forever. After uninstalling mylyn, build
completes normally.

by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=830933

Regression: ---
Story Points: ---
Classification: Fedora
OS: Linux
Reporter: michel+fdr(a)sylvestre.me
Type: Bug
Documentation: ---
Hardware: All
Mount Type: ---
Status: NEW
Component: maven2
Product: Fedora
Description of problem:
maven2 provides maven-artifact-manager as a subpackage, but not maven-artifact.
This breaks packages that use maven-artifact-manager as it actually requires a
class in maven-artifact that is no longer provided in maven-artifact 3.x
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
maven-artifact-manager-2.2.1-33.fc17.noarch
maven-3.0.4-5.fc17.noarch
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build and install leiningen and its dependencies -
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=830784
2. lein | grep maven/artifact
Actual results:
leiningen.pom Problem loading: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/maven/artifact/metadata/AbstractArtifactMetadata (maven.clj:1)
Expected results:
Additional info:
The class should still be in Maven 3.0.4:
http://maven.apache.org/ref/3.0.4/apidocs/org/apache/maven/artifact/metad...
but the Maven 3 RPM's maven-artifact.jar does not seem to contain it.

When a set of environments are defined in a pom, under the
target-platform-configuration plugin, Tycho will attempt to resolve
dependencies for each of the specified environments. If we're running in local
mode, and offline (eg. mvn-rpmbuild), then we should ignore other environments
and just build for the running environment.

I had this case for javamail. It puts all files into /usr/share/java/javamail/,
and the build was failing with javax.mail missing. It was necessary to use P2
director to install javamail into local repo to make build working.
