Amarok 1 on Fedora 10
by Eduardo Habkost
Hi,
Has anybody done any work to build Amarok 1.x packages for Fedora 10?
Fedora 10 has only Amarok 2.0 packaged, but it doesn't have all the
features Amarok 1 has.
In case there is a Amarok 1 package somewhere already, maybe it could be
carried on the kde-redhat repositories, named as 'amarok1', for people
who want to run it?

ejecting usb devices (aka ipods)
by Martin (KDE)
Hallo
I have some troubles with my ipod in FC10 and kde. I can mount and
fill music et cetera without a problem, but if I try to savely remove
it, either right mousebutton in dolphin, or via the plasma device
manager applet, the ipod is dismounted, but not ejected. I see the "do
not disconnect" message all the time.
If I hit the eject command on the comand line the proper "OK to
disconnect" message is shown. Is this a bug or am I missing some
fundamental settings.

kdebase-extras missing in kde 3.5.10 for EL4/5?
by Andreas Petzold
Hi,
I just switched a lot of machines to kde 3.5.10 and noticed that
kdebase-extras is missing? Is there any particular reason why this
package was not included?
Cheers,
Andreas

changing the color of the panel
by Claude Jones
This is a minor issue, but, this seems to be possible, but I can't find how. I
say it's possible, because I have one machine that has a nice black gradient,
whereas all the others on my other machines became blue with the latest KDE
from unstable. So, is there some setting staring me in the face somewhere?

How do I prevent the screen for turning off on my desktop?
by Orcan Ogetbil
Here are my settings:
System Settings -> Advanced -> Power Management -> General Settings -> "lock screen on resume" is unchecked.
System Settings -> General -> Display -> Power Control -> "Enable display power management" is unchecked.
System Settings -> General -> Desktop -> Screen Saver -> "Start automatically" is unchecked.
System Settings -> General -> Desktop -> Screen Saver -> "Require password to stop" is unchecked.
Now, why does my screen go off after 10 minutes of inactivity and on resume it asks for my password? This makes me sad, and irritates me in certain occasions. I think I tried every combination of the above checkbox'.
This is a desktop computer. No batteries.

pykde4 segfaults
by Neal Becker
In [2]: from PyKDE4 import kdeui
In [3]: from kdeui import KFileDialog
Process Python segmentation fault
Is this because pykde4 is not in sync with kdelibs, perhaps?
