= Summary =
kcm_touchpad in defaults for comps?:
* kcm_touchpad will be added as default in comps (Voting result: 5/0/0)
kde-4.3.85 and kdevplatform/kdevelop4 for kde-redhat? (#549713):
* KDE 4.3.85 is available at kde-unstable repository at kde-redhat.
* A file conflict in kdevplatform has to be sorted out: #541690.
comps: cyrus-sasl-gssapi or maybe as direct requirement for kdepim(kmail):
* JaroslavReznik asked if cyrus-sasl-gssapi could be installed by default to
satisfy kmail with Kerberos.
* ATM cyrus-sasl-gssapi isn't present in comps at all.
* RexDieter will ask other comps-ninja's for advice.
current live image issues:
* SebastianVahl listed some current issues of the KDE live images: [1]
o KDM doesn't autologin (#549687)
o Global shortcut notifications need to be silenced.
o Space on live images is rare as usual (even with no qt3/kdelibs3 on it).
o Autostarted plasmoids are not working (due to missing kdeplasma-addons).
SIGs/KDE/Stability_Proposal: [2]
* Postponed for an upcoming meeting.
== recent bugs ==
kde-plasma-*: yawp, stasks needed rebuilds for 4.3.85, need to test all kde-
plasma-* bits:
* All plasmoids need to be tested with KDE 4.4 (beta) and/or incompatibilities
with Qt-4.6.
* At least yawp and stasks need a rebuild to be functional.
nepomuk tracker for kde-4.3.x dup or block ?: [3]
* KDE 4.3 in Fedora doesn't have a working nepomuk backend.
* All open bugs against nepomuk and KDE 4.3 will be closed with an advice to
reopen them if they could be reproduced with KDE 4.4.
F13Blocker-kde:
* RexDieter announced a tracker bug for all KDE related bugs in upcoming
Fedora 13. [4]
* Tracker bugs for Qt-4.6 and KDE 4.4 are also part of this tracker bug.

Text entry to a notes widget using iBus crashes Plasma
by Sonic
I have "Swanalekha" input method enabled for Malayalam language. When I
enter text to a notes widget on the desktop using iBus, Plasma crashes.
The crash does not happen on entry of the very first character, but
happens to occur when I try to enter specific characters or combinations.
I've KDE SC 4.4 beta and system fully updated with kde-unstable and
kde-testing repos enabled.
If I remember right, the crash was there even before the update to 4.4 beta.
Anyone else seeing this?

Ping Rex
by Anne Wilson
Rex, some time ago you told me the best way to start gpg-agent under Fedora.
Unfortunately I can't find the message, and I have problems with agent on the
F10 netbook and the newly repaired CentOS 5.2 box. If you could tell me again
I'll make sure that it is easily found - a gpg page has been started on
userbase, so I could put it there.

PreUpgrade help, please
by Anne Wilson
I've just used PreUpgrade for the first time, and I'm a bit worried about the
result. Everything I see seems to suggest that the system believes me to be
still in F11. I did reboot when instructed, and I've just finished removing
the packages listed by 'package-cleanup --orphans', though I haven't yet gone
through the rpmnew and rpmsav files.
What have I missed?

Create useful bug report
by Martin Kho
Hi,
I'm trying to create a bug report for a crash in Dolphin. After installing the
kdebase-debuginfo package (and it's dependencies) I get the message: unuseful
crash report.
Can someone tell me which debuginfo packages I need?
I'm using kde 4.3.85 on rawhide.
Btw. I tried gdb, but the rawhide version only gives very uninformative
numbers as yum install suggestions.
Thanks,
Martin Kho

NetworkManager under KDE
by Timothy Murphy
I am running Fedora-12 with KDE.
Is it possible to configure NM (NetworkManager)
so that it starts before I login,
and does not require me to enter a password?
The instructions I have seen for this all seem to assume
that one is using Gnome rather than KDE.

4.3.4: KDE - no sound.
by Gilboa Davara
Hello all,
I just installed F12 on my private workstation, and upgrade the
"built-in" KDE to 4.3.4 from kde-redhat unstable (x86_64, some i686 libs
taken from the i386 repo).
Login, logout, and no more sound.
By looking at the control center, I can see that KDE only sees the
Pulseaudio sound server (instead of Pulse + on-board HDA Intel (alsa) +
SB Audigy 2 (alsa) and USB microphone (USB camera).
Far worse, when I try to test the pulse audio server (from the control
center), I get a "Pulse audio server not responding - falling back to
(empty).".
Trying to access the pulse server from pavucontrol or mplayer (-ao
pulse), seems to work OK, so it doesn't look like a pulse problem.
I moved to init 1, killed all the user-mode services, cleaned /tmp
and /var/tmp and switched back to init 5, with no effect.
Switching backends from xine to gstreamer, had little effect.
Any ideas?

kde-4.3.4 f11 builds
by Rex Dieter
kde-4.3.4 f11 builds finally got done today, I snarfed them into kde-testing
repo, and these will be appearing in updates-testing soon.
Well, kde-testing includes 2 newer builds:
phonon-4.3.80-2.fc11
kdebase-runtime-4.3.4-2.fc11.1
which support better/fancier phonon/pulseaudio integration. We've chosen to
leave these out of the official updates for now.

libssh confusion
by Petrus de Calguarium
Now appearing in kde-redhat repo is libssh-0.4.0-1.fc12.x86_64.
Can I have both libssh and libssh2 installed? What program uses this new libssh that
I have not heretofore had installed on my system (I have only had libssh2 installed)?
Will it affect sshd, scp or sftp or ksshaskpass?
