F10, KDE4.2 and VirtualBox

I had all this working well, then updated to the latest VirtualBox. Now, when
I open Kontact, Kmail starts getting mail and after 30-90 seconds, the whole
VM locks up. Totally - I can't even shut it down from the command line - I
have to log out of my base machine to kill the VM. If I don't run Kontact, the
VM works great, but that's one of the principal reasons I set up this
particular machine. It's running on a Vista Ultimate box. My entire KDE is
latest from KDE-Redhat. I doubt this has anything to do with Fedora or KDE but
I thought I'd look for prior experience here. I imagine this is going to be a
VirtualBox issue, but, is anyone here running into this?

o kdeartwork(-subpkgs) on the KDE live images (short):
* kdeartwork and kdeartwork-sounds were added to the live images.
* Snapshot1 also shipped kdeartwork-kxs.
* kdeartwork-screensavers is too big in size.
o artwork - short status :
* JaroslavReznik is working on a KSplash theme for the new artwork.
* MartinSourada is preparing a background for KDM.
* For F12 we should consider forking KSplashX to support more image types than
JPEG.
o QT 4.5 / KDE 4.2.2 - update status:
* For Qt 4.5 there were some minor annoyances reported for psi, qjackctl and
qsynth were fixed and other issues are not known.
* For KDE 4.2.2 there are some few issues we'll want to investigate more
before pushing it to stable (eg. crash of merkaartor, some remaining 100% CPU
issues)
o #493061: kpackagekit translations not working:
* Kpackagekit is still unable to show translations, so we'll have to take this
upstream.

KNotes puzzle

How do you move (or duplicate) a 'sticky note' created in kontact onto the
desktop? The description says that they stay visible even if you close
kontact, so it must be possible.

debuginfo

I probably asked this before, but since I can't connect to http://apt.kde-
redhat.org/ to search for the answer,
sudo debuginfo-install --enablerepo=kde-testing kdepim
doesn't work (doesn't find the needed debuginfo packages).
What's the correct procedure?

koffice2 rc1 in kde-redhat/unstable (f-10)

fyi, got koffice2 rc1 into kde-redhat/unstable (f-10) repo yesterday.
(Will do the same for F-11 when I can get my centos5/mock builders to
work with F-11 buildroots)
Targetted to be included in F-12 release.

Trouble with AdobeReader 9.1.0 on KDE 4.2.2

I've been beating my head all day against problems with Adobe Reader no
installing desktop and icon/mime type files, which I think I finally
figured out and have it installed fine on our F10 KDE 4.2.1 machines.
However, still having trouble with it on my KDE 4.2.2 machine.
It shows up in the kicker menu, but not in the "Open with" context menu
in dolphin or in the "KEditFileType" property editor for pdf files.
Anyone else seeing this?
