Are debuginfo rpms available ?
by Christophe Delaere
Hi,
I recently reported (to kde) a crash when using fish within kmail to
save attachments. Unfortunately, the stack trace is not that useful.
In such a case, some kdelibs-debuginfo would be useful.
Would it be possible to provide such builds? Maybe it's already there
and I missed it?
I am using kde-testing on fedora10.
My bug report is there: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192594
Thanks,
Christophe.

Annoying new behavior (sleep)
by Neal Becker
I have set to sleep when lid closed. This used to work. Since recent updates
(kdebase-4.2.3-1.fc10.x86_64), when the screen is locked, shuting the lid does
nothing. I need to unlock the screen first, then it works.

o kde-4.2.85 (4.3beta1) status
* than is going to remove conditionals Fedora<10 as we won't ship 4.3 for F-9
(eol soon)
* kdebinding
** if 4.2.85 doesn't build, 4.2.86 will be build instead
** other packages will stay 4.2.85 (we'd need to relax the BRs)
* we're not planning to build snapshots regurally
* ltinkl is working on kde-l10n (rdieter is discriminated)
o kde-4.2.3 update status, ready for stable
* Fedora 11
** 4.2.3 as 0-day update to avoid possible problems as it's not well tested
* Fedora 9 & 10
** queued for stable
o Qt 4.5.1 status/blockers [1]
* qt 4.5.1 stays in updates-testing for one(two) more week(s)
* rssnow is hacked but still not ok, new amarok-2.1ish builds coming soon,
ksysguard thing is cosmetic and mostly harmless
* we have to watch qt git repo commits
o PolicyKit 1 (as it hits rawhide soon)
* PolicyKit 1 will be soon in Fedora
* ltinkl & jreznik are going to cooperate PolicyKit 1 efforts
* PolicyKit 1 should be blocked until proper support in KDE
* old PolicyKit stays in Fedora for some time but it's not supported anymore

KDE 4.2.3 queued for stable
by Kevin Kofler
Hi,
FYI, KDE 4.2.3 is now queued for the stable updates for F9, F10 and F11 (both
the core 4.2.3 packages and the extragear ones). You can queue the
kde-plasma-stasks and kde-plasma-yawp builds for stable now. Expect 4.2.3 to
hit the stable updates in the next updates push.
(Qt 4.5.1 still has issues we're looking into, so it will stay in testing for
some more time, but that one didn't get or need a buildroot override, so
that's not a problem for dependent packages.)

Kirta and filters
by Arthur Pemberton
When one installs Krita via one of Fedora's package management tools,
how are they to know that they need koffice-filters to make any real
use of Krita?

amarok-2.1 post-beta2 in kde-redhat/testing
by Rex Dieter
Since amarok-2.0.x has issues with qt-4.5.1, and 2.1 final will be
landing soon, I got amarok upstream blessing for us to pursue and test
some amarok-2.1 builds for updates(testing) purposes.
So, these will be landing in kde-redhat/testing asap, and in fedora
updates-testing over the next week or so.
caveat: F-10 builds are currently lacking libgpod support, I've been in
contact with libgpod maintainer, and the required libgpod-0.7.0 will be
coming soon to F-10. This is a blocker for amarok-2.1 to land in F-10
stable updates.

Strange usb-mount behaviour
by Anne Wilson
From the usb-notifier widget, I'm offered options, one of which is to open in
dolphin. Suddenly I'm finding that it doesn't do that - it opens in
konqueror. After my holiday there has been a very large update, so I've no
clue what might have caused this change.
Ideas?

kde-4.3, PolicyKit-kde packaging
by Rex Dieter
Looks like PolicyKit-kde bits are in kdebase-workspace now.
Any thoughts or opinions on whether to roll this into kdebase-workspace
proper (with Obsoletes/Provides), or to continue to make it as a
separate (sub)package?
I did the former as a first try in kdebase-workspace-4.2.85-1 packaging.

processes running in wrong directory...
by Charles Zeitler
i have :
fedora ..c.. klauncher
fedora ..c.. kded4
fedora ..c.. gam_server
fedora ..c.. knotify4
fedora ..c.. nepomukserver
fedora ..c.. plasma
fedora ..c.. kio_file
fedora ..c.. kaccess
fedora ..c.. krunner

fedora ..c.. kerneloops-appl
fedora ..c.. python
fedora ..c.. klipper
fedora ..c.. knetworkmanager
running in :
/dev/mapper/vg_gamma-lv_docs ( ~/Documents )
could this explain lockups in the taskbar/ missing taskbar ( intermittent )
?
could this be responsible for filesystem errors in
/dev/mapper/vg_gamma-lv_docs ?
and could kernel disabling of irq 18 be related ?
( RAID bus controller, Multimedia audio controller )
any elucidations and/or advice to correct this much appreciated.
