Firefox goes rogue when session is restored on login
by Arthur Pemberton
Whenever I log in, after having logged out with Firefox running on KDE
4.x, Firefox is started ignoring several external settings, most
notably:
- flash plugin
- gtk to qt themeing
Is this a bug with how KDE resumes sessions? Or is it a firefox bug? I
don't know what to file this against, and it's very annoying.

Changed binding for C-k
by Neal Becker
Has anyone else noticed, that C-k used to act like emacs, erasing the
following characters on the line _and_ the newline, but recently it only
erases the following characters but _not_ the newline. So, repeated C-k don't
do anything.
I find this change annoying.

Open and Save Dialog box problem.
by Eli Wapniarski
Hi All
I've been having a weird one. Whenever I open up a file open / save dialog box the files and folders seem to be sorted by name in descending order. After I click on the Header bar or uncheck descending from the dialog box "configuration button > sort" to correct the sort order, then close the dialog box and then reopen the dialog box. The sort order is returns to descending order. Anybody know how I can fix it so one at least the default setting is in ascending order. Better still, to remember my last selection.
Thanks
Eli

Kmail : Shortcuts disappeared
by Arthur Pemberton
A lot of wierd things seem to happen to me with Kmail.
Today, I tried to copy from an email, Ctrl+C, and I was told that the
shortcut was ambigous, and that I need to fix it. I went into the shortcut
settings, and there were two identical bindings for 'Copy'. I disabled both,
and manually assigned Ctrl+C to the first.
Now I can copy text from emails again, but Cntrl+Enter no longer sends email
and Del no longer deletes email. I have since tried to "restore defaults"
but that didn't help.
Any advice on how to to return to now?

Pasting text
by Sonic
I just hit an interesting problem with KDE. Don't know if it has
something to do with Fedora. If I select some text from an application,
and then close the application, the text is not available for pasting.
It is not happening with KDE apps alone, but I'm running KDE. I tried
with GEdit & Opera & Konsole as well. Same problem.
Can somebody confirm this?
And, I don't have klipper running.

Oxygen Icons package
by Sonic
I have a doubt about Oxygen icon theme package. Are the
'oxygen-icon-theme' (15MB) and 'oxygen-icon-theme-scalable' (46MB)
complementary to each other? Is it possible that one of these is
sufficient for a complete system? I didn't have the 'scalable' package,
and the 'new device notifier' didn't have any icon. I installed the
scalable package and everything's fine. Now, can I remove the
oxygen-icon-theme package so that I can save on bandwidth and time when
updating my machine.
Technically, is it not sufficient to have the scalable icon set?
