kprinter

Is there a replacement for kprinter (cli to open dialog and print stdin)? I
need it for cxoffice.

Has Anybody Seen Bug Fixes for Anything?
by Eli Wapniarski
Hi All
Just installed the Beta from unstable. Seriously... has anybody actually seen bug fixes? Or are the KDE developers simply adding features that add more bugs?

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
How can they be missing and installed at the same time? I used skip-broken
yesterday to get around the problem. Today I ran the other three commands -
nothing was reported. Still I get the same messages. What exactly is wrong?

Kbluetooth4 (or kdebluetooth4)
by Timothy Murphy
How exactly is one meant to use this?
When I run it, I get a bluetooth icon in my panel,
but I have no idea what one is meant to do with this.
The application appears to be completely devoid
of all documentation.
There appears to be no way to set a passkey in BlueZ
if one is using KDE.
I assume kbluetooth4 is meant to address this issue.
What a mess.

notifications stop working
by Neal Becker
This is on stock F11 kdebase-4.2.3-1.fc11.x86_64
After a while, notifications stop working. When kmail receives mail, for
example, I hear the sound notification, and the icon for notification shows in
the tray, but the actual message plasma is not displayed.

Is Bugzilla bugged?
by Claude Jones
It's probably just me, but, I have gone round and round this morning trying to
find a way to enter a new bug. I have always found bugzilla quirky, but this
AM it's got me. It presents me with page after page of not fully explained
ways to search existing bugs, but I can't seem to ever arrive at the page
where you can enter a new bug...am I just going senile?
If anyone is interested, the issue I'm having is that systemsettings' login
manager under the advanced tab used to prompt me for the root password before
allowing changes. It's not doing that now and all I get is grayed-out options.
I can get around it by running systemsettings from a root prompt, but, I'm
assuming that's not a new 'feature'...
I can understand the system wanting to make you search diligently for existing
bugs one can add their voice to, or find a resolution to their issue in, but,
it seems to have become much harder to finally arrive at new bug reporting
page...
Problem:
Open System Settings
Click on Advanced tab
Click on Login Manager
all settings are grayed out for me - there seems to be no method offered, or
prompted, to change to root
Running F11 with all latest updates; Fedora + updates + updates-testing and
all KDE-Redhat repos are enabled - did a big KDE update just last night.

kde-4.2.90 (partial) to kde-redhat/unstable
by Rex Dieter
Well, I'm going to push what I have so far to kde-redhat/unstable, it's
not yet complete, but we'll continue to work on that over time.
Biggest hurdle at the moment is kdebindings failing to build due to some
wierd linker error. Oddly enough, it built fine for rawhide, but not
for F-11. ??
