dep problems

Running preupgrade (F10->F11) gives a number of messages like:
1:qt-x11-4.5.1-13.fc10.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: libcrypto.so.7()(64bit) is needed by package 1:qt-
x11-4.5.1-13.fc10.x86_64 (installed)
This sounds scary. Am I going to have no kde if I continue this upgrade? Is
it fixable?

As I already wrote on IRC, I don't think this offer is of much value to
Fedora at this point because we don't have our logo in the wallpaper anyway
(to make things easier for remixes and other derived distributions). So if
we really wanted to ship upstream wallpapers, we could just ship them as
they are, there's no need to have upstream spend time on rebranding them.
We have other reasons for using our own default wallpapers (e.g.
consistency across the multiple desktops we ship, and also GRUB, Plymouth
etc.).
There are also other issues, like what to do when we upgrade KDE to a new
version: do we allow the default wallpaper to change in the middle of a
Fedora release? Do we stay with the old one, shipping e.g. KDE 4.4 with the
KDE 4.3 default wallpaper?

some multimedia app failures

when i try to start amarok i get:

and nothing beyond the splash screen ( which remains after returning to
shell )

kde-4.2.85 landing in kde-redhat/unstable

f11 builds (thanks to MathStuf) will be landing in kde-redhat/unstable
repos soonish, I'm still working my way through f10 ones.
this is 4.3beta1 by the way, expect it to eat babies and kittens. We've
done very little testing other than "woo it builds, SHIP IT!". Enjoy.

kde-redhat repo downtime a bit tomorrow

kde-redhat repos are strained space-wise, so I'll take things offline
tomorrow to install another big driver or 2. Should give us ample space
to provide -debuginfo pkgs moving forward.
Work will be a bit hectic for me, so I can't give a more specific time
from than "sometime tomorrow". Wish me luck.

Are debug-packages available for kde 4.3 beta 1 too in unstable?
Yum didn't seem to be able to resulv debuginfo-packages atomatically
at update-time :-/

Kpackagekit crashes after packagekit update

On F11, there was an update to a new upstream version of PackageKit
today -- 0.4.8-1, and now kpackagekit crashes on start. Before I put
this in bugzilla, I just wanted to check whether a new kpackagekit was
in the pipeline or not. I didn't see anything in the updates system
...
