Kpackagekit: unknown role type?

Hi, In the rawhide version of kpackagekit - 0.4.1.1-2.fc12.x86_64 - I get a messagebox named "Unknown role type - kpackagekit" that says "waiting for other tasks". The waiting is endless. In .xsession-errors I see: removing transaction from pool : "/47_eaaacdbe_data" removing transaction from pool : "/48_caddcedc_data" enumFromString ( State ) : converted "" to "UnknownState" , enum value 18 removing transaction from pool : "/49_ddbcaedb_data" enumFromString ( Action ) : converted "unknown" to "UnknownAction" , enum value 1073741824 enumFromString ( Action ) : converted "unknown" to "UnknownAction" , enum value 1073741824 enumFromString ( State ) : converted "" to "UnknownState" , enum value 18 enumFromString ( Action ) : converted "unknown" to "UnknownAction" , enum value 1073741824 enumFromString ( Action ) : converted "unknown" to "UnknownAction" , enum value 1073741824 Does anyone else see this? Can't get updates to 4.2.95

kmix problem

When I plug in my external usb speakerphone (fm1083), it shows in kmix. But now (F11), I can't use kmix to set the mic volume. The slider doesn't work. It just jumps to zero and won't allow you to set it. If I open 'advanced audio control' I can set it, and the slider displayed by kmix simultaneously adjusts.

flags consolidation, Required? :)

Looks like upstream will be consolidating use of "flags" (*), many of which are outside the use-case of locales, so looks like we'll have a good case of making these (currently kdebase-runtime-flags) a required part of the kde runtime. Thunderbird Segfault/XDG_DATA_DIRS

Just getting a new F11 x86_64 machine going, and every time I try to click 'Install' in Thunderbird to install a new Add-On, I get a segfault. It crashes at: cache_glob_node_lookup_suffix and doing some googling, I found an old (c. 2006) FreeBSD discussion about this, and then it was isolated to folks using KDE and the environment variable: XDG_DATA_DIRS not being set to include gnome. So, I added '/usr/share/gnome' to the end of it, and voila, no more crashes. The claim at the time was that KDE was duplicating one of the path entries instead of adding gnome. So, I have a fix/workaround in hand, but this should probably be fixed more globally. I have no idea what to file a bug on, though, or where this should get set. Or perhaps there's some package that should have been installed but wasn't? kwin video record effect

Hi all, are there any plans to build (again?) the KWin video record effect? "again" means I hardly recall to have seen this on F10 (KDE 4.2.0?). I've tried everything to screencast my KDE desktop (with compositing active, on an NVidia graphics card), and nothing seems to work 100% other than the KWin video record effect.
