Hi All
It seems that kmldonkey is missing? Any ideas as to why?

Switch User still broken
by Patrick O'Callaghan
KDE 4.3.4, F12.
IIRC the "Switch User" function hasn't worked for me in any version of
KDE 4. I just get a blank pop-pup window with nothing to select except
the "Close" widget.
Is this a known problem or is it yet another consequence of incompatible
config files between versions?

Konqueror as root: warning background colour?
by John Pilkington
In kde 3.5 Konqueror - specifically in CentOS_5 - the background colour
could be set to indicate who owned the window. I can't find any
reference to this in f10/f12. Is it still possible?

kded4 crashes randomly
by Gene Smith
I see occasional crash reports for kded4 (seg fault). This is a recent
fresh install of F12 on new system. Seems to run OK otherwise and passes
memtest86.
Here is what I am running right now:
$ rpm -q qt kdelibs
qt-4.5.3-9.fc12.x86_64
kdelibs-4.3.4-3.fc12.x86_64
After pressing "restart app" on crash dialog:
ps ax | grep kded
2800 ? S 0:00 kded4 --nocrashhandler
I am also using "Fedora 12 Updates/Test Updates" and "kde-testing" repos
right now. Does this sound OK?
Thanks,
-gene

dav umlaut problem
by Christoph Kaulich
Hello,
I am using KDE 4.3.95 on x86_65 Fedora 12.
I have a groupdav addressbook connected to kaddressbook.
If the name contains umlaute (ü, ä, ...) the last letters of the display name
are thrown away.
I can see this in the addressbook, and if I look at the vcf using konqueror
and kate.
An example copied over from kate is:
BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:2.1
ADR;WORK;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:;;XXXXXXXXXstra=C3=9Fe
1;Osnabr=C3=BCck;;11111
N;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Kr=C3=BCwel;G=C3=BCnter;
FN;CHARSET=utf-8;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:G=C3=BCnter Kr=C3=BCw
ORG:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX;
TEL;WORK:+11 (111) 111- 1111
UID:addressbook-168-376f4df772b11449bbf89f9d13333aba
END:VCARD
See the missing 'el ' in the FN field.
If I check the vcf using cadaver from the comand line, everything is OK.
Against which part of KDE should I report a bug?

Missing dependencies at yum update
by Gene Smith
Error: Missing Dependency: kdelibs4(x86-64) >= 4.3.5 is needed by
package 6:kdeutils-libs-4.3.5-1.fc12.x86_64 (kde-testing)
Error: Missing Dependency: kdepimlibs(x86-64) >= 4.3.5 is needed by
package kdebase-runtime-libs-4.3.5-2.fc12.x86_64 (kde-testing)
See this on every 4.3.5 KDE package ready for update.
Is this a temporary situation?

KMail: why is my email spam?
by Timothy Murphy
A number of people have been telling me for some time
(months if not years) that my email is being defined as spam.
[This is email that could not by any stretch of the imagination
be considered as spam, even by the thought-police.]
I always use (and always have used) KMail,
and I don't see anything odd in my settings.
I use the default sendmail for sending email,
which could conceivably be the cause of the problem.
I wonder if anyone has come across this,
and can offer an expanation and if possible a solution?
I think that all the email in question is sent to mailing lists.
Also, some if not all the people who complain mention google or gmail,
I'm not sure why.
