KDE confirguration directories query

Hi Could someone please explain to me the difference between the usage of the directories: /usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/share/config and /usr/share/config in terms of locating resource/configuration files for KDE. Many Thanks Roderick

omit fprint-pam from f14 kde live ?

Considering that https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=605156#c17 seems still not fixed for f14, any objections to omitting it from the f14 kde live spin? -- Rex

Do you need a bz? What extra info do you need? Needs testers of crashing polkit-kde on logout

Hi, we need testing of bug [1] - polkit-(kde|qt) crashes when user logs out. This bug seems to appear in Fedora 14 and Rawhide, but it doesn't ocurs every time. If you can see the crash of PolicyKit-KDE when you logs out, please install packages from builds [2] or [3] and try to log out again. Write the result here or to the bug [1]. Any other information about this bug is welcomed, as this is Fedora 14 KDE blocker. why does thread grouping take so much cpu time?

Kmail 1.13.5 using KDE development platform 4.4.5 (KDE 4.4.5) and Fedora 13_64 and dual core Opteron 4G ram lotsa free disk. Whenever I try to read a folder with a lot of entries (20k or so) cpu usage spikes for about two or three minutes and the only activity I can see is thread grouping. I don't understand why this takes so long. Is there something I can do about this? It makes the machine only slightly usable until it's over or until I give up in disgust and click on some other much smaller folder just to get my computer back. Very frustrating. Dave

The live images for F14 TC1 are now available: http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/14.TC1.1/ and the desktop validation results page is up: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_14_Final_TC1_Desktop please do go ahead and get the TC1 images and help fill out the desktop validation results! No chart in kspread?

koffice-kspread-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64 koffice-kchart-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64 koffice-kchart-libs-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64 Start kspread. Try to insert chart. Under insert, there is no 'chart'. Something wrong here?

kglobalaccel memory usage

Hello, whenever I look at the processes table I see that kglobalaccel is taking about 125 MB of memory, that is a lot. I admit that I have lot's of shortcuts and gestures, but still, is that number normal? Thanks in advance, YB.

kde-plasma-yawp-0.3.5-1.fc14

Updating to kde-plasma-yawp-0.3.5-1.fc14 prevents the desktop from loading. A black screen with an active mouse pointer results. Uninstalling kde-plasma- yawp-0.3.5-1.fc14 allows normal desktop to appear.
