= Summary =
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
final report for F14
* Desktop Validation test F14TC1 [1] passed, except
o QA:Testcase_desktop_error_checks: SELinux error - fixed now
o QA:Testcase_desktop_menus
+ #643838 - papeli crash, due to another Qt/Cirrus bug
+ #643835 - polkit-kde fail - fixed now
* polkit-kde-auth-agent seems to be still crashing
o AGREED': remove from KDE blocker as we don't have steps to reproduce
it
o jreznik and rnovacek to work on improving polkit-qt
status of KDE 4.5.x and Qt 4.7 for F13
* rdieter informs that new qt 4.7.1 is right around the corner (rumors)
* do we want to push kde 4.5.2 together with qt 4.7?
o jreznik to prepare a devel-announce post to publicize our intentions
regarding kde/qt update in f13
+ in case of no objections against pushing qt from other qt apps
maintainers we will update it together
+ it seems kde 4.5.x works very well with qt 4.7 as kde-unstable
contains this combination
* rdieter to setup dist-f13-kde target
* ltinkl, rdieter and jreznik likes waffles

Hi
Could someone please explain to me the difference between the usage of
the directories:
/usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/share/config
and
/usr/share/config
in terms of locating resource/configuration files for KDE.
Many Thanks
Roderick

Hi Radek,
I've also tried polkit-qt-0.96.1-2 (x86_64) for rawhide, but get the following
error message in .xsession-errors:
"polkit-kde-authentication-agent-1: Fatal IO error: client killed"
This happens when I have to authenticate for updating unsigned packages in
kpackagekit.
Do you need a bz? What extra info do you need?

Kmail 1.13.5
using KDE development platform 4.4.5 (KDE 4.4.5)
and Fedora 13_64
and dual core Opteron 4G ram lotsa free disk.
Whenever I try to read a folder with a lot of entries (20k or so) cpu usage
spikes for about two or three minutes and the only activity I can see is
thread grouping. I don't understand why this takes so long. Is there something
I can do about this? It makes the machine only slightly usable until it's over
or until I give up in disgust and click on some other much smaller folder just
to get my computer back. Very frustrating.

koffice-kspread-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64
koffice-kchart-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64
koffice-kchart-libs-2.2.2-4.fc13.x86_64
Start kspread. Try to insert chart. Under insert, there is no 'chart'.
Something wrong here?
Hello,
whenever I look at the processes table I see that kglobalaccel is taking about
125 MB of memory, that is a lot.
I admit that I have lot's of shortcuts and gestures, but still, is that number
normal?
Thanks in advance,
YB.
Updating to kde-plasma-yawp-0.3.5-1.fc14 prevents the desktop from loading. A
black screen with an active mouse pointer results. Uninstalling kde-plasma-
yawp-0.3.5-1.fc14 allows normal desktop to appear.
