Network Management - probably pebcak needs sorting
by Anne Wilson
It seems I have knetworkmanager and NetworkManager* installed, which may well
be why I have problems. In the systemtray I have an icon that looks like an
unplugged RJ45 cable, which tells me that the network is not available.
Nonsense, of course. Left or Right-click on it tells me that network
management is disabled.
NetworkManager-gnome never seemed to work on this laptop, so I'd like to try
knetworkmanager. Can you give me some hints with regard to sorting this out?
Thanks
Anne

After running for just a couple of hours, .xsession-errors is 12MB.
There's lots of different stuff in it, but especially chatty is:

Seems every kmail update is churning out rediculous amounts of debugging.

deltarpms
by Christian Jann
Hello
Why aren't there deltarpms in kde-unstable repo? With so many updates they
could save a lot of bandwidth.

I have an UMTS connection with a monthly bandwidth limit of 5GB on my Laptop.

knetworkmanager & wireless
by Petrus de Calguarium
I have reinstalled to f13α_rciv. I am having no
success at getting knetworkmanager to connect to a
wireless network.
Does anyone know how to get it to work, or should I
file a report?

You have heard of netbooks, yes? SSD's? I have all of 4 GiB, and not all
of that available for packages.
IIRC I had to remove kcalc because I can't afford to install the entire
printing stack.

Network Manager Plasmoid crashing Plasma
by Anoop
Hi List,
Whenever I am adding Network Manager Plasmoid, to panel, Plasma is crashing.
Can someone point me how to make it work? Or is it a known issue with
the Plasmoid?
Thanks a lot,
Anoop
