WYSYWIG for HTML5

Years ago, I used to build my web page with Quanta, which was included in kdedevelop, I think. Is it or something similar still available? I only need support for html5, no legacy versions.

alrighty, just to drop a quick status update: kde-4.7.4 f16 builds are built, queue'd for updates-testing, and available in kde-testing too kde-4.7.90 f16 initial builds have been pushed to kde-unstable. notably missing here is kde-l10n, and spilt kdeaccessibility packaging. currently known broken deps that will require other packages to be (re)build include at least: digikam (and kipi-plugins), kdevelop Enjoy. -- rex

4.7.90 Dolphin drag/drop

Hi, I have just noticed when dragging a file from the main window to the side panel in Dolphin does not work now, no menu pops up asking copy or move the file. This results in the file not being copied or moved. Hi, Well all in all 4.7.90 is quite stable. I have not yet got to the bottom the screen turning off, I disabled the screen saver this morning as a temp fix and the screen never turned off. I have since turned the screen saver back on now that does not work... I need to run more "logical" tests next week. Something does seem to be toggling DPMS on even though I have it set to off in my bash_profile Kmail2 in this release has seen many fixes and is working quite well, I even setup my Gmail for IMAP to test.. all went smoothly. I have however found a small problem when replying to an email with attachments, they are included in the reply: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288755 Virtuoso seems to have settled down, but we will see what happens on the next login. temp kmix solution (4.7.90)

Hi, Well sadly Kmix is unusable here, over time it just drags my machine to a crawl so I have disabled it :-( I did some searching for an alternative and came across pnmixer in fedora's repo's, it is an old version old and limited but does the job that I use Kmix for. I did try and build an RPM for the current version that has more features but it threw up a error about something defined in DSO and try adding it to the linker... Another kdepim bug report

Hi I've just filed another bug report upstream at: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288392 Turns out I cannot access a gal (global access list - ie address book) via ldap on a Zimbra 7.1.3 server with kap where Thunderbird has no trouble and I am able to access an address book on a Zimbra 5.0.10 with kab Eli -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Plasma Crash

Hi List, I noticed this on F15 and now on F16 with KDE-4.7.3. My plasma crashes every then and now. With KDE-4.7.2, everything was fine. This is really annoying and now I have moved to Gnome. Another thing I noticed that when I open Firefox, Chrome or Thunderbird, some times they don't show up in task manager. Any ideas? Thanks, Anoop

Can't add my s/mime cert to a kmail identity for signing

Hi, I'm trying to add my s/mime cert to an identity in kmail. While I can add the certificate for encryption, I can't add the same cert for signing. No certs are shown in the dialog, no matter what string I put in the search field. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Help with Apper. Can't update system.

Kompare missing!

Hi Like Kate, Kompare seems to be missing too. Rex told me that Kate was part of 'kdesdk' group, which I chose not to install. But I had 'KDE software development' selected in Anaconda's package list. Anyway, I could manually install kate since its available as an independent package. But I couldn't locate kompare as an independent package. After a bit of searching, I found it as 'kdesdk-kompare'. In the process I found Okteta as kdesdk-okteta - already installed on my machine. So, couple of doubts - when I select 'kde software development': 1. kate is a separate package - not installed by default 2. kompare is listed as kdesdk-kompare - not installed by default 3. Okteta, listed as kdesdk-okteta, surprisingly is installed by default! How about having the base applications marked 'mandatory' when 'KDE software development' is selected? regards, Syam

Anybody using Blogilo successfully with Blogspot

Hi.. I had used Blogilo with my Google/Blogspot blog on Fedora 14 or so. But ever since Fedora 15 (and Fedora 16), Blogilo does not work with Blogspot. I'm getting the same problems as this guy: http://blogilo.gnufolks.org/forum/topic/failing-miserably-configuring-blogs… It's either 'Could not regexp the profile ID' (BlogSpot.com API) or ' Received invalid XML markup: error occurred while parsing element at 1:3 ' (Blogger 1.0 API). Is anyone successfully using Blogilo on Blogspot? regards, Syam

I've been following the threads about the problems with Kmail2 and was kinda worried before upgrading to F16. And right enough, I had two days of post- traumatic flashbacks to the KDE3-KDE4 transition, but after som trial and error I've found it rather good. Some quirks, sure, but in my experience they are more related to akonadi and kwallet than Kmail itself: o akonadi doesn't like suspend/resumes on my laptop. I need to restart it every time. After a akonadi restart kmail can read mail again, if you don't restart kmail will hang and show the "Fetching folder...." screen forever. o sometimes the kwalletd will bomb out (claiming to be open, but contain no user/passwd info) and thus kmail will hang on fetching mail. A Disable kwallet - Apply - Enable kwallet - Apply cycle in System Settings will bring things back into order again. o often the Next/Prev Message in the Go menu are grayed out and you cannot jump to the next message with the keyboard. Selecting another message or folder with the mouse brings things back in order again. Trying to convert the Kmail1 mail caches was a no-go, I deleted all local caches and setup everything fresh. I'm using imap exclusively and do all filtering with procmail on the server side so it didn't matter, this might not be an option for people using local mail folders... So, all in all, kmail2 was better than feared for my use. Is there anyone who'd object to removing this functionality? If so, what's your use-case(s) for it? Otherwise, we could work on possible workarounds, like advertising how to firewall upnp-related traffic ( like something similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259472#c11 ) -- rex

Does Okular scroll down on pressing space bar?

Hi.. Ever since I installed Fedora 16, I've noticed that Okular doesn't scroll down when Space bar is pressed. Page-Down works fine. So do Page-Up and Backspace. I filed a bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=287753 But a developer says he can't reproduce it. Can anyone please check if this is working on F16? regards, Syam
