nntp (aka, usenet) client in kde?
by Gene Smith
I currently use t-bird with an nntp account pointing to gmane to read
this list and sereral others. Does kde have an nntp client program of
any sort? I don't see it as a possible new account type in kmail. Also,
search with kpackagekit yields nothing with "usenet" or "nntp" that is
kde specific.

Thanks for 4.10.95
by Colin J Thomson
Hi,
Thanks for providing the 4.10.90 and now 4.10.95 packages for F19 x86_64, the
usual smooth update and all seems to be working well so far on my main box
here.
I have found a couple of very minor of issues with no sound affects in Kwin
and kdeadmin, kde-l10n packages are still 4.10.5
Time permitting I'll go check kde.bugs regarding the lack of system sounds in
Kwin, minimise, desktop switching etc.
Thanks to all involved.
Colin

kde-settings-kdm
by Peter G.
There was just a strange error as I updated kde-
settings-kdm-19-23.fc19.noarch to kde-settings-
kdm-19-23.1.fc19.noarch:
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.pJDvqd: line 1: fg: no job
control
error: %preun(kde-settings-kdm-19-23.fc19.noarch)
scriptlet failed, exit status 1
Error in PREUN scriptlet in rpm package kde-
settings-kdm-19-23.fc19.noarch
I now have both 19.23 and 19.23.1 installed.
I tried getting rid of the older one, 19.23, but
the same error recurs.

virtuoso-opensurce too new?
by Martin Kho
Hi,
It seems that nepomuk-core in rawhide needs version 6.1.6 [1,2]. Rawhide
currently provides virtuoso-opensource-6.1.7-1.fc20.
For now I downgraded virtuoso-opensource to virtuoso-
opensource-6.1.6-3.fc19.x86_64 and everything looks fine.
Do I have to open a bugreport for this? nepomuk-core or virtuoso-opensource?
Thanks,
Martin Kho

NepomukStorage only works with virtuoso 6.1.6

Request for help with cmake on tellico
by José Abílio Matos
Hi,
I am trying to build the latest tellico for Fedora.
My build attempts have been failing at cmake and since I am lost I asking for help here.
The source rpm can be found here:
http://jamatos.fedorapeople.org/tellico-2.3.8-1.fc20.src.rpm
and the spec file can be seen here:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/tellico.git/tree/tellico.spec
The error I am getting is
"Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
KSANE_INCLUDE_DIR"
The reason why I am puzzled is that this variable is present (in x86_64) at:
/usr/lib64/cmake/KSane/KSaneConfig.cmake
that belongs to libksane-devel and is required in the spec file for building.
Another thing that puzzles me is that the ksane support is found even if I don't require libksane-devel.
Any help? Please. :-)
Regards,

Looks like the nss-mdns package is not installed by default any more (if
it ever was). Any particular reason?

NetworkManager package oddity
by Ed Greshko
I installed an F19 system with only KDE. In doing some testing as a result of a question on the user's....
For "yum erase NetworkManager-openvpn" I see...
Removing:
NetworkManager-openvpn x86_64 1:0.9.6.0-2.fc19 @anaconda 718 k
Removing for dependencies:
kde-plasma-networkmanagement-openvpn x86_64 1:0.9.0.9-1.fc19 @updates 153 k
But subsequently for "yum install NetworkManager-openvpn" I see...
Installing:
NetworkManager-openvpn x86_64 1:0.9.8.2-2.fc19 updates 161 k

I would have thought kde-plasma-networkmanagement-openvpn would have been pulled in as well....
Why not?

Force KMail account offline?
by Timothy Murphy
Is there any way of forcing a KMail account to be offline?
I have an account at a remote site which I cannot normally access.
Usually this goes offline itself, but sometimes it does not,
and I get an endless stream of error/warning messages.

unstable Libreoffice
by Martin S
Is anyone else seeing a horribly unstable Libreoffice in Fedora 19?
Just keeping the Open File dialog open for a bit longer than usually is needed
to open a file, makes in crash.
